| B>DJ Q-Bert of the Invisibl Scratch Piklz made Hip Hop history the other nite during a taping of the Hip Hop turntablist documentary 'Battle Sounds'. Q-Bert who was making his first New York City appearance in over 3 years, was knighted and bestowed the honorary title of 'Grandmixer' by legendary deejay Grandmixer DST. Q-Bert and DST were later joined on stage by Hip Hop notables like writer/media assassin Harry Allen and Grandmaster Roc Raida of the X-men. Also on hand was Hip Hop writer Nelson George. Performances by the 5th Platoon, Kolabz, Steelworkers, The Allies, the 12" Assassins as well as an impromptu performance from Q-Bert and Rob Swift of the X-men made the night complete. |
